SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS

One remarkable beneficiary of our program is Mr. Perummal Raj, a 26-year- old man born with a hearing impairment into an economically disadvantaged family in the rural village of Pudupatcheri. Despite his challenges, he completed his twelfth-grade education at a nearby school. Unfortunately, he struggled to secure employment due to his impairment and relied on a government disability pension of Rs. 1,500 (AUD28) per month, supplemented by sporadic daily labor. His income remained well below the poverty line. However, thanks to the awareness and opportunities provided through our program, Perummal Raj made a courageous decision to delve into goat rearing. We extended our support to help him acquire his initial two goats, and today, he proudly tends to a pen housing seven goats, each valued at Rs. 8,000. His determination knows no bounds as he strives to expand his flock and generate profits through their sale.

Perummal Raj's inspiring journey serves as a testament to the transformative impact of our social enterprise support initiative, offering individuals like him the chance to break free from the cycle of poverty and pursue their entrepreneurial dreams with newfound hope and determination.
