SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS

Meet Saw Bosco and Saw Kyaw Thu Win, two enterprising members of our project, who embarked on a journey to transform their lives with a small business loan of 500,000 kyats (equivalent to AUD 400) from our project on May 15, 2023. Their venture? Trading in bamboo shoots. The loan period spanned from July 2023 to the end of September 2023, with a repayment of 500,000 kyats to the group and a 1% interest contribution to the child group fund. Saw Bosco, residing with his family of five, and Saw Kyaw Thu Win, with a household of four, are not only project participants but proud parents of children actively engaged in project activities. After three months of dedicated effort in their bamboo shoots business, they achieved a remarkable profit of 315,000 kyats.
Their dedication and hard work paid off as they successfully repaid the loan to our project, setting a shining example for others to follow.
Following their success, the loan was passed on to Naw Thein Paw and Naw Win Kyi, who embraced the opportunity to launch their cardamom trading venture. They are now fully engaged in their business, eliminating the need to seek employment elsewhere. Their proximity to family offers the invaluable advantage of staying closely connected, both emotionally and practically.
