HAWKESBURY | Life-saving awards have been presented to seven local Ontario Provincial Police officers who helped evacuate senior citizens fro m a Hawkes- bury retire m ent ho m e fire in May. “Man y of our award recipients not onl y saved lives, but perfor m ed under life- threatening conditions,” O.P.P. Co mm is- sioner Chris Lewis said of the officers who responded to the Ma y 25 blaze at Place Mont-Roc on Spence Avenue.
