THE BOB HOPE THEATRE Try to catch a live show at the historic Bob Hope Theatre while you’re in town. Even if there’s nothing on the schedule, a stroll through the mesmerizing space is worth it. Inside, Italian-imported marble forms a stunning mosaic across the 1,200-square-foot center lobby. A restored 1928 Robert Morton theater organ, gifted to the venue, is a sight to behold all on its own. This Stockton landmark was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Translation: It’s a must-see for history buffs, thespians and visitors alike.

When most people think of California, it’s the coastal cities that come to mind — Los Angeles, San Diego and Malibu, we’re looking at you. And while those beachside spots have their charm, California’s Central Valley often gets overlooked. But it shouldn’t be. Cities like Stockton are just as vibrant as their seaside counterparts. Stockton is rich in culture, history, community and fun. Plus, it's home to our Iota Gamma Chapter at the University of the Pacific. Here's just a peek into this Central Valley gem.
