Celebrating 35 Years of Theta Iota-James Madison Founded in 1991, Theta Iota Chapter at James Madison University proudly celebrated 35 years of sisterhood a little early this year to align with Zeta Theta of Kappa Alpha Order's 30th anniversary. Members spanning generations — from the charter class to recent graduates — gathered April 25-27 for a weekend to remember. The joint celebration beautifully honored cherished sisters in the silent chapter and paid tribute to the visionary founders of both fraternities. Thanks to the efforts of event organizer Kellie Kirstein Grunkemeyer (Theta Iota-James Madison), more than 100 alumnae attended the celebration, which took place at various locations throughout the weekend. Sisters enjoyed a variety of activities, including touring the Alpha Phi chapter house on Greek Row, supporting and donating to the philanthropic spirit of Greek Sing and enjoying a band along with Kappa Alpha at a local brewery. Neena Engman (Theta Iota-James Madison) shares, “This incredible gathering truly underscored that the connections we forge in Alpha Phi extend far beyond our college years and create bonds that last a lifetime.”
Theta Iota sisters Kristin McCauley, Neena Engman and Holly Carter Biller enjoy the festivities in their celebration crewnecks.
