MS Polarlys was refurbished in 2016 and now features a modern, Arctic-inspired interior. The ship welcomes up to 619 guests and offers a wide choice of cabins, mini-suites, and suites across 15 categories.
Onboard you’ll discover: three dining venues – the Torget main restaurant, the a la carte Kysten restaurant, and the all-day dining bistro, Brygga - Multe bakery and ice cream bar, the comfortable Explorer Bar, an observation saloon and panorama lounge, and sauna and fitness rooms. Out on the deck, relish unfolding views from the two hot tubs or the sun deck. There’s also the compass area where you’ll find the reception, the Coastal Experience Team, a conference room, and a shop; Wi-Fi throughout, and snow shoes and walking poles available to hire. Hurtigruten’s signature voyage along the Norwegian coast travels from the southern city of Bergen, across the Arctic Circle, up to Kirkenes, and back. It’s 12 days and 2,500 nautical miles of some of the most stunning scenery you’ve ever seen! Norway’s world-famous fjords will be on full display, dotted with farms and charming
fishing villages. Admire the mountains and myths of the Helgeland Coast and brace yourself for the sheer beauty of the idyllic Lofoten and Vesterålen islands. Along the way, your ship stops at 34 coastal communities, big and small, day and night. Dock in villages and towns for ten to 45 minutes, and cities for a few hours. Ports visited at night on the northbound section of the voyage can be seen during the day southbound. Polarlys is Norwegian for `polar light´, and refers to the natural Arctic phenomenon we pursue in winter
