He was an old man to die for you. No, He gave His life for you while He was a young man. He wants you to offer yourself to God for His service and for His work. You to will lead others to Calvary, to Heaven, and to the risen, living Lord Jesus. In that way your life will be wonderfully blessed. Why, many a boy and many a girl have become soul-winners at ten, twelve or fifteen years of age! You don’t need to wait until you’re an old person. Then we read in Esther 8:10 about young dromedaries. The camel has two humps and the dromedary only one. Well, Esther and Mordecai sent off letters all over the country to the various people of the nation. But they sent them on young dromedaries. The Lord wants us to be like that. They go and go and apparently never get tired. Their feet are made to travel on the sands of the desert. The Lord wants us to be tireless in working for Him, to care nothing about holidays, work days or late hours — to just run on His errands. Wasn’t it wonderful that these dromedaries carried these blessed messages, messages of mercy, messages that saved the nation of Israel from being exterminated by that wicked man Haman? Beloved, you do that. Be a young messenger for God. Be a young messenger who will serve the Lord and live for the Lord. Carry His message to the other boys and girls in your High School or col lege or wherever you may be. Take the message, and God will honor you for it. Then in Genesis 15:9, we read about a young pigeon that was offered as a testimony of what God had done for Abraham. Well, He'wants you to be a proof to the world that His Word is true. As a young offering, give your self to Him and by your messages, your ministry and your life, you too will prove to the world that God is true and Christ is a real Saviour of men.

profitable to God because, after all, He’s the One you have to meet. You live here only a little while and then off you go into eternity. The Lord wants you to work for Him, not to lay up treasures for yourself, get a name for yourself or have a good time for yourself. A ll of that will fade out of the picture and pass away after a while. The Lord wants you to have the very best in this life and the very best in the next life. Live a life of no regrets. As you offer yourself like a young bullock to God for a sacrifice, people will love you and want you to be around them. They’ll say you are valuable, useful, and worth-while, be cause your conversation will be about things that are profitable and you will be helpful as well as attractive. That’s what you want, isn’t it? Sin won’t give it to you, but the Lord Jesus will. Then in Leviticus 9:2, we read about a young calf’s being brought as a sin offering. Here is the thought of meat and food and of blessing to oth ers. The sin offering was the offering for what we are. It is a type of the Lord Jesus, I know, who died for us at 33% years. Many who are around thirty years of age think, “ Oh, this is just the time to be a ‘he-man,’ to go in for cigarettes and tobacco, and to take a nip once in a while from the bottle —to be a real man-among-men! ” The trouble is that that doesn’t take care of sin. We must have somebody to put away the sin that’s in us and the sins that we commit. The longer we live, the more sins we have. We read about it in Romans 2:5: “ After thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelations of the righteous judgment of God.” Every day sins are added to yesterday’s until the pile be comes high, so be sure that in some way you get to the Lord Jesus, trust Him, and make Him your own and be saved. This young sin offering represented the Lord Jesus. He didn’t wait until

your wife or your parents bring you to Him, come quickly and gladly as this wild colt did. When Jesus sat upon it, the colt was tame at once. Isn’t it wonderful that that little animal had the privi lege and honor of taking Jesus where He wanted to go? Now no doubt there were thousands of asses in Palestine and around Jerusalem at that time, but none of those got any place in God’s record. They were all passed by. But this one did because he wanted to carry Jesus where He wanted to go. He carried Him into Jerusalem and to the temple. He didn’t take Him to a pool hall, a gambling joint or a tav ern. He took Him to the temple, and that’s what Jesus wants you to let Him do. If you will let the Lord Jesus run your life, guide you by His coun sel, direct you by His Spirit and teach you by His Word so that you and He together may go to the temple of God, you will make a name for yourself that God will set down in His eternal records. So be like this young animal. Come to the Saviour and say to Him, “ Lord Jesus, You can ride on me any where you wish, I’ll take You wher ever You want to go.” Then, in Numbers 28:11 we read that the offering to God was to be •young bullocks. The bullock speaks of labor, for they were the oxen of that day. So the Lord Jesus wants you to work for Him. You can do many things for the Lord. Take all of those fine activities, all of those splendid mental processes, and let the Lord have them as a sacrifice so that you can carry out His will and His plan in your life instead of your own. When you come to meet Him at the judgment throne, you’ll be so glad that you did, for He will say to you, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Otherwise, He may have to say “ Cast the unprofitable servant into outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.” You see, beloved, you want to be
