IMPORTANT REMINDER TO ALL MIYC BOAT OWNERS

Dear Friends, It’s the time of year to again remind you that Club bylaws require all boat owners participating in any club sponsored boating event, that YOU MUST have and pass a yearly SAFETY BOAT INSPECTION. This is based on the calendar year, so new inspections are required as of January 2022, and all previous inspection stickers are deemed invalid. Upon a successful inspection, you will receive a 2022 Safety Sticker to affix to your boat’s hull or windshield. These inspections are free by appointment and are readily available. We are fortunate to have several inspectors available to our club members, including MIYC members: Paul Soden, (914-450-8066) or Ray Rosenberg RaymondHRosenberg@gmail.com.

From there, click on Safety Equipment Requirements for a sample of the actual form the inspector will use to help you prepare for a successful inspection. You will also see the contact names and phone numbers of all inspectors. Please acquire your Vessel Safety Inspection in January as soon as possible, so as not to miss out on any of the great boating events we have scheduled for 2022! Once you have your decal, please notify me so that I can update your status.
