Getting to Know You: MIYC's Dedicated and Hard-working Full-time Servers

Marla Hurst Marla was born in Maryland, and has also resided in Virginia, Indiana, San Diego, and now with her husband, in Naples, FL. She is a graduate of Indiana University. Her daughter Ryann Butirac (30) lives in Minnesota. Marla enjoys reading, music, poker movies and live theater. She has had experience as a Manager for Event Coordination, and extensive time as wait and bar staff. She loves working with the public, and organization is her specialty. The beach and poker are her favorite outside pastimes. Dream spots include Positano, Italy, Istanbul, and London. Travel is high on her list, especially a chance to experience New Zealand. She has an eclectic taste in music, but for games, it’s Scrabble. Marla’s community focus is overdose prevention. Her personal motto is: “Look at your feet; You are right where you are supposed to be.” Debra Welsh Debra was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and now resides with her fiancé in Naples, Florida. She has two children: one (31) resides in Anchorage, AK, and the other (27) in Pittsburg, PA. She enjoys boating, reading, backgammon, the beach, and relaxing by the pool. Debra loves to travel, and would especially like to visit Italy. Debra has had experience as a hotel Food and Beverage manager, and food sales. She brings her hard-working approach to the MIYC and is known for her really good jokes. She is determined to be “Super-fast with NorthStar at a table!” Her community focus areas involve feeding hungry children and programs for kids on drugs. Reservations Please! To help Chef and his staff to prepare and deliver exceptional meals and service, we ask that you place your reservation at least three (3) days in advance. For Special Events, we ask that you make your reservations and meal selections (if applicable) four ( 4 ) days in advance. Doing so is a tremendous help in making sure we have your choices on hand. As you know, Chef Bob will always honor vegan/vegetarian or special meal requests, but again, please provide that information in advance when making your reservation.
