Section 2: Standards for Approval: Organization and Administration: 851-021-0040 (1)
(1) (a)
The educational institution offering nurse education programs must: Maintain all required approvals through the State of Oregon.
(b) Be accredited by a regional association or national agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. Include name of accrediting agency, date of last survey visit by that agency, and date college is due for reaccreditation. The College is approved as a degree granting institution of higher education in Oregon and meets all standards set forth by the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (ODA/HECC) The college is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), a national agency
Current approval for all programs authorized under the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC-ODA) is through March of 2025.
The President, the Compliance Officer, and the Director of Operations are responsible for the Renewal applications for the ODA and ABHES, and assessment. The Nurse Administrator, in collaboration with the Director of Education, the faculty, the Director of Operations, The Nursing Admin Assistant, the President, and the Compliance Officer, are responsible for the assessment and renewal application(s) for the OSBN.
Current grant of accreditation with ABHES is through February of 2026.
