(2) There must be evidence of adequate human, physical space, technologic, and fiscal resources for the development, implementation, stability, and continuation of the program, including required prerequisite and support courses. At our college, we recognize the crucial importance of ensuring adequate resources for the development, implementation, stability, and continuation of our nursing programs. We are committed to maintaining an environment that fosters learning and provides the necessary tools and facilities for our students to succeed. In 2022 (renovations to be completed by fall of 2023) the college leased an additional 9,000 SF and renovated additional space to include a new sim lab, skills lab, prep room, and new mid-high- fidelity manikin. The college now leases a total of 30,000 SF of space at the Portland campus. The college purchased two manikins in 2021 for the new simulation lab.
Every term for scheduling, and annually based on budgeted expenses, student population, and update of equipment.
The college reviews the resources available for students regarding physical space (SF and layout), online and technological resources, simulation and skills labs, classroom space conducive to learning, adequate study space, and open labs that support student success. The college reviews student surveys to identify possible additional needs based on student feedback. The college reviews faculty meeting minutes/curriculum outcomes committee meeting minutes, and Advisory Board meeting minutes to determine if student resources/equipment/physical, and technologic needs are being met.
Capital expenses annually; supplies quarterly, equipment bi-annually.
