(e) It is the role of the Nurse Administrator and appointed experienced faculty to participate in the development of new faculty members either through direct team teaching and/or as a mentor both in the clinical and didactic setting. The Nurse Administrator has the final decision in the hiring process. (f) It is the responsibility of the Nurse Administrator or Assistant Nurse Administrator to conduct a performance review, if needed, at 30 days after initial hire, annually, and any other points in which the Nurse Administrator feels an evaluation is necessary. (g) Following a performance review, and at the request of the Nurse Administrator, the college will review recommendations for individual promotions, salary increases and/or departmental changes.
Potential Nurse Educators meet with the Nurse Administrator and President (when applicable) during the interview process. Applicants are then requested to observe classes, labs or clinical classes.
