This step is completed to give the applicant the opportunity to determine if the position is a good fit for both the college and the applicant. Many nurse educators and non-nurse faculty do not have teaching experience, or minimal teaching experience. This step assures the new hire understands the position, the environment, and the expectations. Faculty is engaged in this process. The Nurse Administrator makes the final hiring decision.

(h) The Nurse Administrator Provides for evaluation of faculty members within the framework of the educational institution

(i) Following a performance review, and at the request of the Nurse Administrator, the college will review recommendations for individual promotions, salary increases and/or departmental changes. (j) The Nurse Administrator acts as the liaison to the OSBN and is the point of contact for compliance matters.
