In the early '90s the initiation fee was $15,000 with a waiting list. By the time I joined in 1999, the fee had dropped to $3,000. Joining a country club like RVCC as a member fulfilled a lifelong aspiration. Members made crucial decisions over the past decade that contributed to this progress. About 10 years ago, RVCC faced financial difficulties, which led to the board managing daily operations temporarily. Eventually, funds were raised to hire a General Manager who demonstrated innovation and energy. Initiatives approved by the membership enabled rebuilding efforts, including an annual dues increase and capital investment assessment, along with donations for course improvements. Strategic changes focused on amenities such as building the SportsCenter Café, improving the tennis center, and adding miniature golf, basketball, and a batting cage. In 2025, Rick Schultz was hired as General Manager, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the golf course alongside amenities. Recent investments included the construction of the red tees and increasing the budget for golf course maintenance. Our recent member vote overwhelmingly approved refinancing the clubhouse loan, facilitating further improvements. These include acquiring new irrigation equipment, enhancing storage for golf carts, paving the parking lot, and remodeling areas of the clubhouse and tennis center, as well as a list of improvements. Thanks to thoughtful strategic decisions, hiring dedicated personnel, strong board leadership, and the unwavering commitment of its members, RVCC has blossomed into a wonderfully maintained community. At 101 years old, it is thriving and full of life. RVCC stands as a testament to the collective vision and hard work of everyone involved in its growth. We have every
