Omar El Masri is a structural engineer with project design, teaching and research exper- tise. His design experience includes bridge rehabilitation and replacement design, in-depth structural inspections, and steel design for industrial buildings. He is an excellent mentor to young engineers due to his background as a researcher and Adjunct Professor at Syra- cuse University, where he earned his Ph.D. Omar is passionate about research and analyz- ing real-world bridge-related issues with the intent that his research not only makes him a better design engineer, but provides solutions that improve the life of bridge infrastructure.
