Greetings in the blessed name of our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is indeed an honor and delight to take this opportunity on behalf of First South Florida Missionary Baptist District Association to welcome you to the 57 th Annual Session of our District Congress of Christian Education. First, let me thank my friend and Host Pastor, Rev. Deryl A. Jones and the First Providence Church family for accepting the Congress. They have worked closely with our Director, Rev. Clem Bell, and his staff to plan a great week of training, fellowship, and worship. This Session is special to me in part because it’s my final year as Moderator of First South Florida District Association. Over the past 10 years I have had the great honor to work with our former Director Rev. Dr. Alex Harper, Sr., current Director Rev. Clem Bell, and Youth Director Rev. Leonard. And I want to thank these great Men for their diligence, dedication and devotion to the teaching and training arm of First South Florida. I pray that all of our Pastors and Churches will attend as well as bring their youth and children to the Congress. Keep in mind that you don’t want to miss the E. Armster Memorial Oratorical Contest which will be on Friday, June 13 th . Finally, please mark your calendars for 4pm, Sunday, June 29 th , we will have our 5 th Sunday Fellowship Service at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Plant City, and our Annual Business Meeting 10am, Wednesday, August 6 th at First Baptist Church of West Tampa.
