Facilities Management Department Wildcat Way: Welcoming, Inclusive, Knowledgeable, Responsive, Proud Nomination 1) FMD has a vast array of employees such as plumbers, pipefitters, steamfitters, high-voltage electricians, carpenters, floor layers, painters, boiler operators, maintenance mechanics, locksmiths, programmers, fire protection, refrigeration, HVAC, controls, IT support, custodians, ground keepers, heavy equipment operators, architects, construction coordinators, work control supervisors and directors. All are welcoming and knowledgeable in their trades and take pride in the work and support provided to the campus. Their goal is to make all students and faculty proud of the university they attend or work at. Nomination 2) The entire Facility Management Department's efforts have significantly contributed to creating an environment that is conducive to learning, growth, and success for the students, faculty, and staff. Their tireless efforts in ensuring the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of the campus facilities are evident in every corner of CWU. From well-maintained classrooms to comfortable living spaces, their attention to detail and swift response to maintenance requests have greatly enriched the university experience for all. I appreciate the excellent customer service provided by the Facilities Department. Whenever I have submitted a work order, the staff has consistently displayed professionalism, patience, and a genuine willingness to assist. Their efforts to provide prompt and effective communication are appreciated. Each member plays an important role in the functioning and success of Central Washington University, and their collective efforts are truly deserving of recognition. FMD Mail Services Team Wildcat Way: Knowledgeable, Responsive The FMD Mail Services staff deliver mail and packages to CWU staff, students, and faculty. They provide great customer service to our campus stakeholders. They have to a deep knowledge base of the campus buildings and the many
departments that are located in various locations and often change. They are responsive to requests to special services. They are an integral part of the formula to the success of CWU. Without mail (either being sent to the postal service or receiving mail), CWU would not be able to function effectively and efficiently. Grounds Department Wildcat Way: Welcoming, Inclusive, Knowledgeable, Responsive, Proud I would like to take this opportunity to nominate the grounds staff in all categories. First and foremost, the entire staff are great people, welcoming, kind and have a great sense of humor that makes coming to work an enjoyable experience. When you have kind people that are very knowledgeable at their jobs at all levels of experience it makes it possible to tackle the daily challenges, it makes it possible to continuing to show up and pursue excellence, it makes it possible for them to learn and teach on the job, and it makes it possible to focus on our goals of helping the students, staff, and faculty. Housing Facilities Maintenance Crew: Allen Doolin, Eric Whitaker, Forrest Johnston, and Whittaker Maes Wildcat Way: Responsive These four people when called upon are more than willing to help, move boxes, take care of spiders, move volleyball nets, move tables, move furniture, carry mattresses, ovens, refrigerators. Whatever needs to be done, they do it! Thank you!
