EMCEE BIO

Christy Gillenwater President and CEO, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber Christy Gillenwater serves as the president and CEO of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. Gillenwater currently serves as chair of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. She is a member of the US Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100, and the Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy National Advisory Council. Gillenwater previously served as president and CEO of the Chatanooga Chamber of Commerce, Southwest Indiana Chamber, and prior to that, president and CEO of the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce in Indiana. She led both of those organizations to win the National Chamber of the Year by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. Gillenwater was born and raised in Cincinnati. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in public affairs from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration from Ball State University. In 2012, she was named a Certified Chamber Executive (CCE), the only national certification for chamber professionals.

Mark Beffort CEO, Newmark Robinson Park

Mark Beffort began his commercial real estate career and in-depth involvement in Oklahoma City in 1985, after graduating from Washburn University. After several years as a successful commercial real estate broker, Beffort began assisting several private and public entities to build a strategic real estate portfolio. Beffort’s leadership has driven Robinson Park to successfully manage over 12 million square feet, worth in excess of $2 billion, and the firm has grown to cover eight markets, including Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma; Rogers, Arkansas; Indianapolis, Indiana; Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Kansas City, Missouri; Columbus, Ohio; and McKinney, Texas.

Bob Funk, Jr. Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Growth, Express Employment Professionals International Headquarters

Bob Funk Jr. is currently the executive vice president of corporate development and growth at Express Employment Professionals International Headquarters. Funk has been active with Express Employment Professionals for the past ten years and has executed many roles for the company in his growth path including vice president of sales. He is also the owner and president of Prodigal LLC., a local sports, entertainment, special events production and marketing company that currently operates Oklahoma City Energy FC. Under his lead, Prodigal previously operated the Oklahoma City Barons ice hockey franchise who successfully became the AHL Western Conference Champions in the 2011-2012 season. Funk graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in international business. Individually, he is a board member at Express Employment Professionals and is active as the chairperson of the Board for Hough Ear Institute. He currently serves as vice chair of work force and education with the Greater OKC Chamber and sits on both the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Funk and his family are actively involved in community efforts within the state. Through Prodigal, he has participated in events with Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics Oklahoma, Autism Oklahoma, Oklahoma City Youth Hockey Association, Sexual Assault Awareness month with the Oklahoma Attorney General Office and Police Athletic League Sports. Funk led the charge for the addition of the multi- purpose outdoor events venue included in the Oklahoma City MAPS 4 process.

Mike Jackson Senior Vice President of Government Relations & Policy, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber

Mike Jackson was named the senior vice president of government relations and policy at the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber in January 2024. Prior to this role, he was named the first executive director for the Legislative Office of Fiscal Transparency (LOFT) in May 2020. Jackson spent six years with the State Chamber of Oklahoma; the last three as its executive vice president. Previously, he represented Enid as a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives for five terms (10 years). During his final term in the House, Jackson held the leadership role of Speaker Pro Tempore, presiding over legislative sessions and serving as a voting member on all committees. During his time in the Legislature, Jackson helped with the development of rules and the enactment of meaningful reforms and improvements that have strengthened Oklahoma. Prior to serving in the Legislature, Jackson was the northwest field representative for U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe and worked as a public information officer for the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture. He holds a B.A. in communications with a minor in agricultural economics from Oklahoma State University and obtained professional certification from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organization Management program. Jeff Seymour Executive Vice President of Economic Development, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber Jeff Seymour serves as the Executive Vice President for Economic Development for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. In this role he leads the Chamber’s effort to expand the regional economy through new business recruitment, providing support to existing businesses and entrepreneurs and meeting the talent and workforce needs of current and future employers. Prior to serving at the Chamber, Jeff served as Executive Director of the Franklin County Development Council, a county-wide economic development organization in the greater Kansas City region and the Executive Director of the Blackwell Chamber of Commerce and Blackwell Industrial Authority in Blackwell, OK. Jeff also worked at the Ponca City Development Authority. Jeff lives in Northern Oklahoma City with his wife Natasha and daughter Emmaline. He is an avid biker and traveler and is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and Northern Oklahoma College with degrees in economics and international business. Jeff holds the status of a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) through the International Economic Development Council.
