Example: Mr. & Mrs. Smith reserve indoor courts 1, 2, and 3 for themselves and five other couples to be named later for the 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. time slot on Friday, January 9th. Larger functions using the indoor courts may be planned with permission of the General Manager and the Director of Racquets and Sports.
OUTDOOR TENNIS AND PICKLEBALL RULES
1. Courts are open from 9:00 a.m. daily unless the Grounds Superintendent or the Racquet Professional decides they are unplayable. Prior to 9:00 a.m. members may play around the maintenance schedule. 2. If all outdoor courts are occupied and players are waiting, playing time will consist of 1-1/2 hours. Exception: Players involved in Club-sanctioned tournaments or league matches. 3. Players waiting to use courts should feel free to ask players occupying courts their time status. 4. Players should follow their turn in taking courts that become available. 5. One person is not permitted to hold a court. GUEST RULES 1. A fee per guest will be charged to the member. 2. Members may introduce up to seven (7) guests per day. 3. Guests may play up to two (2) times per month on the courts. The member is responsible for knowing the number of times his guest has played. 4. Guests must be accompanied by a member and must be registered at the Racquet Shop or chit box before play begins. TENNIS AND PICKLEBALL SPECIAL EVENTS 1. A Racquets Outing is a member-sponsored group containing not more than 23 guests. Outings may be scheduled any day after 12:00 noon. There must be one (1) member present in the group. Members wishing to schedule such an event must first contact the Director of Racquets or the General Manager. 2. The Adult Tennis Club Championships will be a self-scheduled event held from June – September. There are singles, doubles, and mixed divisions for Adults, and Men’s 55 Doubles and Women’s 55 Doubles divisions. 3. Winners of an Adult doubles division, other than the “A” division, may only win that division two (2) years in a row, and then they must play with a different partner for one (1) year. Winners of any singles division, other than the “A” division, must move up to the next level the following year. The Director of Racquets & Sports and Tennis or Pickleball Committee will have the discretion to determine the Club championship format and draws.
