I T IS one thing to believe in missions and to teach the imperative of the Lord’s command to evangel ize all nations, and it is an other thing to enter actively and officially into the work of witnessing for Christ in a foreign land. The Bible In stitute of Los Angeles does both. It trains students faith fully in God’s Word, trust ing Him to place whom He will in regions afar, as bear ers of the good news of the gospel. It maintains in Changsha, Hunan Province, China, the Hunan Bible In stitute & a true missionary enterprise stre ssin g Bible training and evangelism. To virtually every large mission field of the world, students of the Bible Insti tute of Los Angeles have gone forth with the gospel. A study of the tabulated information shows that some of the workers have returned to America—in certain cases because ill health prevents further service under pioneer conditions. Others serve their respective missions in execu tive positions in America. In brief, the list, which is re produced here, may be sum marized thus: 290—Biola students in mis sionary service (either now on field or on fur lough) 117—Returned home from missionary service 19—Deceased 426—-Total * Indicates those deceased. —Indicates return to home land. E.S. Signifies evening school student. Names without symbols in dicate those on field, on fur lough, or en route to field.
