Popular Plan Benefits Advertisers and Readers The BUYERS’ GUIDE is a unique feature of THE KING’S BUSINESS which serves a twofold purpose. ATTENTION VALUE tests are carried on. As a continual attraction, the prize contest appeals to subscribers. It

Readers are urged to participate and to earn for themselves desirable prizes by writing us about specific instances of their patronage of KING’S BUSINESS adver tisers. Each contestant is requested to state the firm patronized, the issue of THE KING’S BUSINESS in which the advertising appeared, and the article purchased or recommended. Every letter is verified and every contestant receives a prize. The results of this plan have been highly satisfactory. SOMETHING MORE THAN ADVERTISING We believe that in the combination of the BUYERS’ GUIDE classified list ings (cross-indexed to refer to the page on which the advertiser’s display ad appears) plus the prize contest, we have developed A REAL MERCHAN DISING PLAN of value to our adver tisers. The goods and services of each advertiser are arranged conveniently under alphabetical headings. BEVERAGES PAN AMERICAN TE A COMPANY, 2704 S. Vermont Ave., Los Angeles, Calif. When the BUYERS’ GUIDE was introduced in the March, 1936, issue, the magazine car ried 60 advertisements. During the past year, the magazine has been conducted without a deficit, although the surplus cannot be called a profit, for it is used in the extension of this work, without gain to any individual or corporation.
