Master’s Full-time, 1 Year Master’s/Postgraduate Diploma Part-time, 2 Years Master’s/Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate Part-time, 3 Years
The full-time Master’s is open to both EU and non-EU students.
Brief Overview Further your understanding of midwifery theory, leadership, practice, management and research. Midwives will develop the skills and attitudes necessary for encouraging innovation, and leading and developing excellence in midwifery practice. Structure (Timeline/Days in Class) Year One: Commences with a full week of classes in September and thereafter one or two days per week for the remainder of the academic year (depending on whether the course is being undertaken full-time or part-time) Year Two: Attendance at workshops throughout the academic year. If completing the Master’s, you will also carry out research and the writing of a dissertation.
Career Opportunities This programme supports midwives to advance their careers. Graduates can be expected to provide quality midwifery care, using their knowledge and skills to lead in the promotion and development of midwifery-led models of care, and health service management. This programme does not lead to registration as a midwife in Ireland.
