Hear from a Graduate Jodie Keating, Candidate Advanced Nurse Practitioner on the Integrated Care Programme for Older Persons (ICPOP) DSKWW, aligned with Tallaght University Hospital “I chose Trinity as it is the college aligned with the teaching hospital close to my service. I have always had a good experience in Trinity at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Completing the nurse prescribing course has greatly benefited my career. It has allowed me, in the role of a Candidate Nurse Practitioner, to provide a full episode of care to the patients that are in my care. Being in the position to review, assess, prescribe and deprescribe has greatly benefited my patients but also has increased my satisfaction of being able to provide this service to my patients. I really enjoyed the hands-on part of the course- the advanced physical assessment allowed me put theory into practice. Working in the community, I felt that I received plenty of support on the course from nurses who are experts in their fields.”
