colonies. But, alas, the laborers are few. Will you not kindly offer up a prayer to the Lord of the harvest that ,He will give us more helpers and their 'support that we may be able to minister to the multitudes at our door? This is real foreign missionary work at home. God help us to give them the Bread from heaven. Instructing Mexican Converts We are greatly encouraged with our groups of believers whom we are in structing in the Gospel of John and we praise God for the growth of grace manifested and the transformation in their lives. One of the most certain evi dences of the real work of grace in the heart is manifested when the converts seek to do personal work among their friends. One of the women, who was a devout worshiper of Mary and whom me mentioned in a previous article as having accepted Jesus as her Savior, tes tifying of her satisfaction in Him, is now laboring with other women to bring them to Christ. One young man brings his mother and aunt and uncle to the meet ings. Another encouraging sign on the part of the converts and some of the uncon verted is the purchasing of Bibles. Near ly every week we receive requests to bring Bibles. One man- who could not read has purchased a Bible since he ac cepted Christ, and is now learning to read. He is now not only rejoicing in his Savior, but also is praising Him that

He has helped him to learn to read, and what joy he has in his study of the Word. God be praised for His wonderful work to the children of men! Jewish Work James H. Vans, Supt. The above picture was taken at a ban quet recently given by the Bible Insti tute to our Hebrew Christians and friends of Israel. About, one hundred guests sat down together to the splendid dinner served. There were about sixty Jews in the number, forty of the number being Hebrew Christians. A baptismal service which was witnessed by both converted and unconverted Jews present was con ducted immediately after the dinner. At this service a Mrs. S----- , a Jewess who had been converted some four or five months before, was baptized. In com mon with many other Jewish people she has had' to face a storm of persecution from relatives. At the conclusion of the baptismal service the cpmpany adjourned to the Lyceum Club Room where a Gospel service was held. A splendid musical program, strictly devotional in character, was enjoyed by all. Mr. W. E. Black- stone, perhaps the oldest living Zionist and well known friend of Israel,', together with Rev. T. C. Horton, superintendent of the Bible Institute, were the speakers of the evening. Both speakers -made strong appeals to the minds, the hearts
