&/#3&'r#3*&'4 SENTIERS DE VTT FERMÉS Les sentiers du Club de VTT de l’Est Ontario inc. sont fermés pour la période de dégel, du 15 mars au 15 mai, comme mandaté par les munici- palités locales. Les dommages causés pendant le dégel printanier ne sont souvent pas réparables et peuvent entraîner la fermeture permanente des sentiers. Selon les conditions, les sentiers devraient ouvrir à nouveau le 15 mai. DEMANDES RECHERCHÉES Les gouvernements de l’Ontario et du Canada ont annoncé, le 20 février der- nier, qu’à compter du mois de mars, les agriculteurs et d’autres entreprises pourront de nouveau présenter une demande d’aide financière, dans le cadre du Partenariat canadien pour l’agriculture (le Partenariat), pour des projets visant à stimuler l’innovation et le développement économique. Les demandes pourront être présentées du 22 mars au 6 mai 2019. De plus amples renseignements seront publiés sur le site Web de l’Association pour l’amélioration des sols et des récoltes de l’Ontario ainsi que sur le site Web du ministère de l’Agriculture, de l’Alimentation et des Affaires rurales La municipalité de La Nation vient d’adopter un protocole d’entente avec Clarence-Rockland en vue d’approvisionner en eau le village de Limoges. Le projet est estimé à 10 M$. La prochaine étape sera de signer une entente formelle entre les deux municipalités, qui sera rédigée par des avocats et des ingénieurs. Ce sont donc 3700 unités d’eau qui passeront par les tuyaux souterrains. Millions of dollars worth of federal sup- port funds are available to rural Ontario municipalities for infrastructure projects but only if the provincial government gets on board with the plan. That was the message from Glengarry- Prescott-Russell MP Francis Drouin (see photo) to local mayors, during the March 13 committee of the whole session of the United Counties of Prescott-Russell council (UCPR). “The funding stream has still not been opened,” Drouin said during a later interview. The federal government committed more than $180 billion during its 2016 and 2017 budgets to the Investing in Canada plan, to help spur economic development. The plan includes bilateral agreements between Ot- tawa and the provinces for allocating shares of that fund over the next decade. 0OUBSJPTTIBSFJTXPSUICFUXFFO billion and $11 billion for investment in public transit, “green” infrastructure, community cultural and recreational infrastructure, and for rural and northern regional infrastructure.
