erty. O Lord Jesus, forgive my unfaith! Open my sin-bound, self-centered eyes to the wonders of Thy love. Teach me how to receive more. The Best of the kingdom: that means Thee. I take Thee, Lord, as my feast of eternal life.— Mes sages for the Morning Watch. . — 0 — February 28— “By faith Noah . . . prepared an ark to the saving o f his house” (Heb. 11:7). Abraham did not understand God’s de signs, but he believed God and had con fidence that He knew what He was about to accomplish, and so resigned his will, to embrace God’s. This was brought about

Himself for us to the throne of God. He tells God we are His own brothers. And what is the answer? “The kingdom of heaven is before thee; in the best of the kingdom make thy brethren to dwell.” Do you realize what it means to have Jesus Christ intercede for you—the Christ whom you repudiated by your own sin? Pharaoh knew not these men; but he knew Joseph; and nothing was too good for Joseph and every relative of Joseph. And we are “joint heirs with Christ.” Because o f Christ, God flings wide open the whole kingdom and simply asks that we take its best. Out of famine, into the best that the kingdom affords. Not only that, but rulers o f the King’s own prop

very day has been black with the failure of all our earthly hopes, it can be the brightest day of our life in the light and presence and protection of Him who never fails. Lord, let me welcome any cloud that brings Me nearer to Thy feet; O King o f kings, Open fresh glories to eternal things. February 25— “Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing o f the church unto God for him” (Acts 12:5). We are always getting into straits of some sort which shut us up as in stone walls or iron cages. We know the remedy. The disciples did not petition Herod, but heaven; and heaven granted an order of release which Herod could not gainsay. Do not let our poor ignorant reasonings about prayer stultify our divine instinct! — W. L. Watkinson. Faith takes the Name, unlocks the door, And oh, what glories strew the way, Promises I have heard before, But never proved until today! —o— February 26—" Filled with all the ful ness o f God” (Eph. 3:19). Many times I have stood upon the sea shore when the tide has been out. I have walked into the caves; I have examined the inlets and indentations in the rocky shore; I have peered into the little bays and basins, hollowed in the rock by the pounding of the boulders, but now empty and dry, excepting for the remains of some stranded shellfish and withered sea weed. I have waited until the tide has rolled majestically in, filling every inlet and indentation, pouring over and over flowing every bay and basin. I have had to climb out of the way, for the white- crested waves were flooding the caves and penetrating the clefts o f the rock. The whole shore was completely sub merged by the ever-rising sea of waters. That is a picture of what the Spirit of God will do in yoUr nature if you will only allow Him. He will fill every void. He will flood every part of your inner man; your understanding, your emotions, and your will, with tides of divine energy. He will turn your inability into ability, your incapacity into capacity, your feeble ness into strength, and He will do it now, if you will only ask Him, for this is His blessed Word.—/. G. M.

Every Home in Korea to Receive a Portion of Scripture The Oriental Missionary Society was the first organization in the history of Missions to personally visit every home in a nation (10,320,000 homes in Japan) and give them a Scripture portion and Gospel tract explaining the way of salvation. This widespread work was completed in 1918 and resulted in thousands of converts in out-of-the-way places, backwoods and villages. A similar campaign is being carried on in Korea, the Hermit Nation. There are 4,000;000 homes in Korea and already our village campaign bands have reached ¿bout one-half of the homes of the nation. They tramp over mountains and through plains, enduring hardness as good soldiers. Fourteen men are engaged in the work. There were, as the result of the village cam paign in Korea, 5,983 seekers during 1927. The greater number had never heard the Name of Jesus in all their lives, but the first time they heard they believed. See them throwing away their idols, making bonfires of their false gods, and ask yourselves the question, can the village evangelization cease? (Excerpt of Korean Village Report) “ On entering the village of Chikok, a small mountain village of about twenty houses in the interior of Korea, Brother Yoon held a street meeting and began to cry out the blessed message of salvation. Afterwards, while distributing the portions he went to the door of an old man, Mr. Pang, who gratefully accepted the tract and held Brother Yoon’s hand. He invited him to come in and tell him more about Jesus and the way of eternal salvation. His story touched Brother Yoon’s heart as he told him that for two years he had sought blessing from Buddha, but had been disappointed. He said he had failed utterly and had often intended to kill himself. He had known an old proverb which says, ‘Life is in Heaven,* so in a blind groping way, he began to seek help from Heaven. Each day he bowed toward Heaven twice and at night he bowed to the moon and stars. In this worship he felt that there was a great God. He told Brother Yoon that the night before he dreamed that a man in beautiful white clothing brought him a good message. He got up as usual,- went to the hilltop and bowed to Heaven, but still he had no comfort. On the way down he wept as he walked along the road. While he stood on the road waiting for someone or something, he knew not what, Brother Yoon came along with his message of hope and salvation. The sim ple message from John 3:16 was all that he needed and Brother Yoon had the joy of leading him to Christ.*’ How long shall we keep the poor Koreans waiting? $5.00 will purchase Scripture portions and send workers to 2,000 homes. We are dependent upon God alone and only in answer to prayer can we carry it on. $25,000 will enable us to reach every untouched Korean village during the coming two years. $500 a month, will keep the fourteen colporteurs con stantly at work. Personal- reports furnished. We earnestly desire your prayer, fellowship and help in this important task. Address: THE ORIENTAL MISSIONARY SOCIETY 832 North Hobart Blvd. Los Angeles, Calif.

Father, by this blessed filling, Dwell Thyself in me, I pray! I am waiting, Thou art willing! Fill me with Thyself today! —o—

February 27— “ To sojourn in the land are we come; for there is no pasture for thy servants’ flocks; for the famine is sore in the land o f Cannaan. . . . The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and thy brethren to dwell” (Genesis 47:4, 6). Did you ever come to a time of the most awful famine, spiritual famine, in your life, when there was no pasture to feed upon? Joseph is such a marvelous type of Christ all through his life-story. So Christ at such a time takes the matter
