SHIPPING RECEIVING, AND INSPECTION RECEIVING AND INSPECTION
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Clean Air Industries Downdraft Table !
Upon receipt of your new Downdraft Table , remove the master packaging list from the unit and reconcile it with the total
shipment.
The master packing list is located on the
side of the product in a pouch. If the list
has been damaged or lost, there is also a
copy with the bill of lading.
Clean Air Industries Down d raft Tables are shipped via freight and generally arrive on
a flatbed trailer. Generally the units are
partially crated, laid down and shipped
whole.
Remove the packaging from the unit, and
then remove the unit from the pallet.
Carefully inspect the unit and any other
items shipped with the unit for any damage
that may have incurred during shipping. If
damage is found , please report it to the
shipping company and Clean Air Industries immediately.

BEFORE INSTALLATION BEGINS
Adequate electrical connections must be supplied to the Downdraft Table . These connections are defined in “Electrical Connections” of the manual.
For functionality and safety, Clean Air Industries does not recommend modifying the Downdraft Table in any way. Never allow the unit to intake any flammable or explosive gasses.
When servicing or cleaning the machine, first make sure the unit is OFF. It is also
recommended to wear protective respiratory equipment and safety glasses.

The Downdraft Table is 44" at its widest point with the side panels closed, and 83" wide with the panels open.
The Downdraft Table is 31" deep, ad 74" tall.

INSTALLATION GENERAL INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
Clean Air Industries Down d raft Tables are very easy to install and operate. Simply place the unit where you wish to opererate it, and plug it into any 110v wall socket.
To power on the unit, locate the ON/OFF switch on the back of the unit.
Turn the red knob up clockwise until it clicks into position. The unit is now ready to use!

To power on the LED light, press the ON/OFF switch located on the right hand side of the light.
When grinding or welding parts, some items may be too large to fit inside the booth. When this is
the case, you can open the booth up by opening two latches located on the top of the side
panels.

WARNINGS AND LABELS
HIGH VOLTAGE: The voltage of the Downdraft Table is dangerous once connected to a power supply. Incorrect installation may cause damage to
the equipment, serious injury, or death. Consequently, it is essential to
comply with instructions in this manual, local and national safety rules, and
follow all safety procedures including proper lock out and tag out
procedures.
Hazardous Voltage: The Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) uses large
capacitors which can hold a charge long after the power disconnect has
been used to disconnect power from the unit. Do not service the panel
until the VFD has fully discharged.
GROUND CONNECTION: Proper grounding of the equipment and electrical
panel is essential. Do not attempt to operate the equipment without
electrically grounding the panel. The connection to the earth ground must
be proper and provide a low impedance path to the earth to prevent
hazardous voltages from appearing on equipment

MAINTENANCE
The Downdraft Table is very low maintenance. If you notice the suction is getting weaker, it may be time to clean out the Spark Baffle.
Remove the Metal Grate from the booth, this will give you access to the Spark Baffle. By grabbing and lifting up, remove the Spark Baffle from the booth.
Once it is removed, pull the Metal Mesh filter from the booth, and set it with the Spark Baffle.
Now that they are both removed, blow them out thoroughly with an air hose. Once they have been cleaned, place them back into the booth in the appropriate order.

REPLACING THE FILTERS
If you cleaned out the Spark Baffle and Metal Mesh Filter and the unit continues to have weak suction, it is most likely in need of a new filter.
To remove the old filter, repeat the above steps to remove the Metal Grate, Spark Baffle, and Metal Mesh Filter.
Once they have been removed you can see down into the filter compartment. Remove both 1/4" bolts holding down the filter cap, and remove the old filter. Once the new filter has been inserted, reinstall the filter cap bolts. Now place the Metal Mesh Filter, Spark Baffle, and Metal Grate back onto the booth in the appropriate order.
