VariDoor ™

PRODUCT OVERVIEW VariDoor TM is the industry's first variable acoustic cabinet with a hybrid diffusive/absorptive surface outside when closed. When the cabinet doors are opened, RPG's hardwood diffusing FlutterFree solid wood plank on the inside is exposed. The cabinet doors can be positioned and adjusted with a Variable Depth Air Cavity (VDAC TM ) to alter reverberation time, control flutter echo, and correct low-frequency modal problems. The VariDoor TM is designed for multi-use recording and rehearsal spaces in which flexibility is paramount. SIZING • Standard Panel: 4' W x 8' L x 6" D (Custom cabinet widths and lengths are available) • Each panel weighs approx. 10.00 lbs/ft 2 FIRE RATING Fabric panels, solid wood planks and MDF cores can meet Class A (per ASTM E-84) FINISH Wood Veneer is available in natural and engineered wood veneers and laminates with clear lacquer or factory color-matching of wood finishes and paint colors. Standard species include Alder, Anigre, Ash, Birch, Cherry, Mahogany, Maple, Poplar, Red Oak, Walnut and White Oak. Custom species may be available on request. Interior planks are available in various finishes, including solid woods (Ash, Cherry, Mahogany, Maple, Red Oak, Walnut, White Oak) and painted surfaces. RPG offers clear lacquer or factory color-matching of wood finishes and paint colors. Fabric panels can be wrapped with RPG reviewed industry standard and custom fabrics. Fabrics with acoustcal performance data preferred. Note: Veneer panels and solid wood planks are available in FSC. INSTALLATION VariDoor TM cabinets are supplied ready to hang with with RPG-provided integrated cleats.
