The Variety School Breakfast Club is a major priority for funding. Currently, Variety is funding 40 schools statewide so they can offer breakfast to their students every single school day. However, there are schools on the waiting list and many more that need a helping hand to ensure every child has a nutritious start to the day so they can concentrate on doing their best learning. “We’re always looking to work with businesses to assist us expand the Breakfast Club into more schools, so if you can’t ride to save yourself, there are many other ways you or your business could make a difference. Funds raised will contribute to a number of programs including Variety’s Kids Sports Days. Held across the state, these free come-and-try days give kids of all abilities the chance to try sports – often for the first time. Although FUNdraising is off to a solid start with over $5,000 dollars raised since the event launched there’s still a way to go to meet the fundraising target. “Last year Variety helped 13,000 children across Tasmania, thanks to community fundraising events such as Spin4Kids. This year we’re aiming to raise $30,000 on the day to help us continue expanding our support to more Tassie kids, particularly as more and more families are seeking our assistance because of the increased cost of living,” said Mohammad. “We know many families are doing it tough right now. Every dollar raised helps us continue funding programs that make a real impact – including our Variety School
