MISSION
Capital Harmony Works , the home of Trenton Children’s Chorus , Trenton Music Makers and Music for the Very Young , is a creative youth development organization that empowers young people as teams of musicians, providing an environment of high expectations and abundant opportunity, and enriching the community through the joyful pursuit of excellence together. It was formed in February of 2022 by the joining together of the Trenton Children’s Chorus and Trenton Music Makers organizations.

VISION
Capital Harmony Works is a hub of creative youth development resources in Trenton, and an example of what high-quality ensemble music education can do in the lives of children and youth regardless of whether they experience other forms of material abundance. It is a source of pride for Trentonians, and a youth resource that attracts families both from the Capital City and from its surrounding communities.
We are Trenton-based and Trenton-serving, while attracting from and reciprocally enriching the broader region Our students love developing as musicians, demonstrating excellence, and being part of an ensemble Capital Harmony Works is a community of music- loving students, teachers, and families who come together to work hard, make music, have fun, and support students’ growth and success.

We support our students’ pursuit of the highest standards for musical and personal development and encourage them to expect the best from themselves. We reflect this by bringing the best of ourselves as musicians and educators, fostering an atmosphere of abundant opportunity.
We work to discern and remove barriers to participation. We pursue equity by dedicating our resources where the needs are greatest, and we seek investment from others who believe in the same. With this, offering scholarships for tuition, summer camp placements, music enrichment opportunities and college tuition is paramount in our fundraising. No child is denied participation due to lack of financial ability.

Capital Harmony Works has a presence established through the long reaching history based on the reputations of Trenton Children’s Chorus, Music for the Very Young, and Trenton Music Makers. Moving into the third year of merging, our reach is expanding. YOUR IMPACT Your support provides high-quality instruments, music, inspiring teacher- mentors and transportation on amazing adventures. Because of you we will continue to expand access and opportunities for kids who love music. You will also help Capital Harmony Works in bolstering the school attendance and drop-out rates of Trenton-area youth through supporting our Learning Academy. The Learning Academy , an academic support program that is comprised of weekly academic assistance all the way through college and mentorships. The Learning Academy equips and prepares our young musicians with the tools to succeed in their schooling and career goals.
