Stanley Martins Golden Dawn Farms - Mature Cowherd Dispersal & 20 Bred Heifers Sale [11/22/25]

Stanley Martins Mature Cow Herd Dispersal November 22, 2025 1 PM Decorah Sales Commission –Decorah, IA

Selling the cows that built the herd. Fifty years in the making! Will also be selling 2 exclusive embryo lots!

LOT 1 SHE SELLS!

Only in a dispersal are cows of this caliber available!

Welcome to the Sale We would like to welcome you to our Mature Cow Herd Dispersal and Bred Heifer Sale. I would like to thank all of our past buyers and also thank you for the interest in our program and taking the time to go through our catalog. We have been raising Fleckvieh on the same farm for over 50 years, and with the last year’s sale selling to 88% repeat customers, I believe that speaks to the quality of the cattle, the way in which they are represented, and the manner of fair business that we have practiced! In this sale you will have the opportunity to acquire some of the most highly proven Fleckvieh females ever. They have proven themselves by building our herd, and now they can build yours! This herd was built with very functional cattle, strong cow families and common sense! I’m of the belief that 100% Fleckvieh have no genetic defects, please ponder that for a minute and how valuable that could become moving forward! These same cows have attracted buyers from South Africa, China, Guatemala, Australia, Canada, and Mexico. 90% of our sales are to people that I have never met. They call on the phone-tell me what they want, and we deliver. I always tell them that if they do not like the cattle when they arrive, leave them on the trailer. And the trailer always comes back empty! Thank you and God Bless, – The Stanley Martins Family

We have sold some great cows that have made their new owners lots of money over the years, but I do not think we have ever sold two better females than these two flush mates that we are starting the sale with. Gundula has always been Alvin’s and my pick for her extra muscle volume and deep red color. We have always emphasized the value of strong cow families, and Gundula is the epitome of why! Golden Dawn Gentry Gentry-When we raised Hampshires, our focal point was to produce the very best boars to maximize commercial pork production. And that took us to great success. Our goal is now, and always has been, and always will be the same as it was with our Hampshires to produce rancher and farmer friendly bulls so our commercial customers can maximize there profits. As I have stated, in the past, often times our best calves come from our natural herds production. Of over 100 Fleckvieh heifer calves born this year, our favorite is Gentry’s heifer calf sired by “Classic”. REGISTRATION # 3925077

Golden Dawn Lucille Time and time again, I have stressed our use of proven genetics to attain success. Lucille is a living testament! Lucille’s sire Crossroad Radium came to use as a seven-year old after proving to be one of the best sires in all of Canada, where there are 748 registered progeny. Breeders do not continue to use bulls unless their progeny excel! Radium continues to excel in calving ease, udder quality, and disposition! Then add in that Lucilles mother is a Westdrums Andrew of the timeless Kerstin and Lilli Marlen. If you are looking for a flush cow to build a herd around, there is no guess work with Lucille! A very highly productive cow family who’s offspring do not give up anything to their horned contemporary’s, which is quite rare! Scarlett is bred to have a homo polled calf sired by the $51,000 dark, red Evolution. I would expect that calf to make Scarlett a wise investment1 The two maternal sisters to Scarlett, that we have sold went for $10,000 and last years top seller at $15,500. Golden Dawn Heidi Heidi is one of twelve Treasure daughters that we will be selling. I do not know of a more time tested or proven cow family. I have a very large soft spot in my heart for Heidi as she was my favorite heifer calf. She was my favorite bred heifer, and now, before she leaves, she has left a “head turning” daughter! You will want to be sure to check out Heidi’s daughter in the bred heifer section. One of the widest topped heifers we have ever raised! With Heidi’s calf by Synergy, you can not lose. A bull calf, and you have a herd bull, and with a heifer calf, you double the size of your donor pen. Bulls out of Treasure daughters are the first ones sold from the bull pen each year! Heidi has a very special Josey heifer calf this year. REGISTRATION # 3890686

Golden Dawn Lotta Lotta is one of three flush mates from Anchor T Impact and Blume 29X that we have hung onto. Lava was selected by Stephon Beechinor from Alberta Canada. In the last few years Stephon has sold a $355,000 bull, one for $275,000 and quite recently one to Black Gold for $160,000. So I think Stephon may kind of know what he is doing. The other Freida is working for John and Casey Smith at Ruby Lane farm in Texas. We are humbled that breeders of such magnitude come to Postville, Iowa. Lotta is raising a terrific Classic bull calf this year that was selected by a repeat customer for $7,000 while still nursing his mother, Lotta. REGISTRATION # 3542958

Golden Dawn Anna We knew Anna was a very special female from very early on. As a calf, she would always be the first one to come up and greet you, every time you came to the pasture! Keato PLD Florentia 32F Florentia - I’m 78 years old so my years of experience, I think gives me a “leg up on most!” and I also think that I do my homework as well as anybody which lead me to Florentia. Keato Meadows had sold a high dollar heifer calf sired by Fonzie (who we had a great interest in) and mothered by Florentia, her first calf. There are lots and lots of cattle that sell for very high prices in Canada, so when one of the top several breeders in Canada, John Beechinor, purchased her, there is a very good chance that she was pretty, special! Golden Dawn Bessie Bessie is one of the last two daughters of Talladega. Talladega was not the most consistent bull that we ever used but when you get a good one they were very good. Golden Dawn Georgina Georgina is a flush mate to the two females that we are starting the sales with. I think the three best words to describe Treasure daughters are productive, productive, productive. Breed Georgina to a bull with a little power, and she hits a home run every time. Harry Satchwell produced three Synergy daughters that sold for over $50,000 each. So here we have a Synergy calf coming out of a Treasure daughter. Golden Dawn Mace 600M Mace is a very attractive daughter of Classic. Unfortunately, Classic semen does not freeze, so we can not flush cows to him to get more daughters. So you will have precious few opportunities to acquire Classic females from us. The few that we already have in production have great udders and fleshing ability. Golden Dawn Maggie Maggie and her twin sister will both be in the sale. Maggie’s sire FGAF Magnum is also the sire of BEE Couture the mother of the $355,000 Rumble. But that isn’t all. Maggie’s mother is a daughter of Ms Moses 03X, who’s full sisters have produced the top selling bulls for the Knutz in Saskatekewan for the last 5 or 6 years. This is how you get consistent quality. Superior cows on both sides of the pedigree! REGISTRATION # 4546933

Golden Dawn Riley Riley will be one of the only two Classic daughters in this year’s sale. There is a reason for that. We have already retained a Classic son and have five more candidates that we are watching very closely in this year’s calf crop. Classic’s impact on our herd has been nothing short of phenomenal. Easy fleshing is the first word that comes to mind. Riley is a super female with a super pedigree. A winning combination for sure! REGISTRATION # 4548298
