I am delighted to welcome you to the 4th Annual Global Mental Health Conference .
For five decades, Sofia University — formerly the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology — has stood at the forefront of whole-person education. From humble beginnings in a professor’s home to our university’s two campuses in California and our growing global presence, our vision has remained steadfast: to offer a transformational experience for positive agents of change. Since 1975, Sofia’s faculty, students, and alumni have continu- ally challenged conventional models and reimagined what it means to heal, lead, and transform lives from the inside out. This year’s conference theme, “Embodiment, Integration, and Whole Person’s Mental Health in the VUCA Era” continues Sofia’s longstanding commitment to advancing global mental health through inclusive dialogue, innovation, and heart-centered inquiry. Now more than ever, our world calls for integrated approaches that honor the mind, body, soul, and spirit across diverse cultures and communities. As we gather together today, we are proud to continue cultivating a global space where thought leaders, educators, doctors, mental health practitioners, psychologists, dream- ers, scholars, and creatives come together to share emerging insights, challenge assumptions, and co-create solutions to some of our most urgent mental health challenges. Thank you for being part of this vital conversation. We are honored by your presence and your passion.
