communication with families, and developing clearer pathways for students. However, the vision is larger than simply creating stronger teams. The goal is to create an environment where students feel challenged, connected, and proud to contribute. That environment is built by many people: coaches giving up early mornings and weekends, parents driving across Canterbury, Old Boys returning to support programmes
they once played in themselves, and staff who understand the role sport can play in a young man’s education. Long after scores are forgotten, most students will remember the people they shared the experience with and the lessons they learnt about themselves. That is the part of sport at Christ’s College I value most; not simply the score, but the growth that happens along the way.
