My year abroad in Belgium was a great experience. I made new friends from all over the world and was able to travel throughout Belgium. The Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg and France are all within close distance so there are no limits when it comes to exploring! My student experience at both universities could not have been better. What a great opportunity it was to take the Extended Master’s which has enabled me to study abroad at the Bush School Texas A&M. It was an incredible experience as the Bush School boasts one of the best International Relations courses in American public schools. Not only has this opportunity furthered my career opportunities but it has allowed me to study my course from a different perspective. I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my course and I am so glad I chose to further my study at Swansea University.
As a Swansea University student, there are opportunities to gain international experience through our variety of non-credit bearing cultural, volunteering and study programmes during the summer: swansea.ac.uk/summerprogrammes Additionally, some students may have the opportunity to spend a period overseas as part of an extended master’s programme. Details of these options are available on specific course pages. There are a range of funding opportunities available to support students who choose to go abroad – please refer to our website for the latest information: swansea.ac.uk/goglobal/funding
