register items where risks relate to hard FM services are identified, prioritised and actioned in a coordinated and structured manner. • Working with the Estates Business Partners to ensure on going liaison with all stakeholders including academic colleges, professional services directorates and student representatives • Liaise with all external bodies including the city council, contractors, consultants and statutory bodies. • Managing the Service Level agreement and operational relationship with Cardiff and Vale Health Board • Developing the internal team, the appointment of external consultants and contractors and the processes/systems to ensure delivery of the maintenance and operational aspects of the University’s Estates Strategy. • Manage programme constraints and often conflicting demands from Colleges and directorate ensuring that the wider aims of the University are met. • Drive change within estates operations team and create an environment where outstanding service delivery exceeds our customers’ expectations

• To develop and manage the estate operations across the estate • Responsible for managing a range of hard FM services across the estate. • Leading delivery of planned, reactive maintenance (incl minor capital), and condition surveys, Working with the Deputy Director Campus Developments to develop long term maintenance plans and backlog programmes of work across a large and diverse estate including academic, research and residential buildings. • Responsible for developing and delivering the maintenance strategy for the estate in line with the Estates Strategy • Responsible for ensuring statutory compliance for estate operations across the universities varied portfolio. • Work with the Net Zero Programme Manager to plan maintenance activities and replacements in line with the Net Zero targets • Work with Campus Developments to ensure that new/refurbished buildings seamlessly move into operational buildings within the university. • Management of the estates corporate risk
