And what others got up to… Dataplan by IRIS Heads of department at IRIS were asked to nominate their payroll heroes within Dataplan. The team were recognised internally and received gift vouchers to thank them for their hard work. Additionally, the team were recognised through posts on social media to publicly thank them for their hard work throughout the year. Fourth Fourth ran internal events every day during NPW, remotely and in the office to ensure all team members could enjoy the week. Events included: l making a short music video about money l a payroll crossword and wordsearch l a presentation on ‘What is payroll?’ l a quiz to finish off the week. Not to mention the spaghetti and marshmallow tower building which took place mid-week.
PwC The UK payroll team at PwC made full use of NPW, and saw it as an opportunity to raise awareness of their outsourced payroll offering, both internally and externally, by sending out daily communications through their internal network and social media.
The UK payroll team has over 250 years’ payroll experience between them, and are all either CIPP qualified or working towards gaining this qualification. They all love working in payroll! When asked what they enjoy most about working in payroll, they said:
“It’s a fast-paced environment.”
“It’s always evolving, with changes to new technology and legislation.”
“Working to deadlines.”
“Paying people accurately and on time.”
