The presentation underscored the industry’s perception chal- lenge and set the tone for the day’s discussions. Discussions centered on several critical issues impact- ing the sector’s future workforce pipeline, including: • Poor or outdated industry perception from the gen- eral public • The need for education system development to cre- ate career pathways • Recruitment challenges – competition with more at- tractive sectors • Employer support – ability to attract and retain skilled employees • Ability to connect with the next generation in the ed- ucation system • Training and development provisions • Compensation and benefits While each association outlined the work already un- derway within their respective organisations, and in joint initiatives, there was strong consensus that greater align- ment and more joint initiatives are essential to achieving meaningful, industry-wide impact. A collaborative action plan was developed on the day, focusing on practical initiatives to improve industry visibili- ty, strengthen early-career pathways, and provide employ- ers with the tools needed to attract and nurture emerg- ing talent. Flint Group Earns High CDP Grades For Transparency Flint Group has achieved overall B grades in CDP’s Cli- mate Change and Water Security Assessments, with A and A- ratings across several key categories. CDP is a globally recognized non-profit environmental disclosure platform that assesses businesses’ sustainabili- ty reporting transparency, assigning grades from ‘A’ to ‘D-’. The ‘B’ grade reflects strong environmental management and action. Under the CDP Climate disclosure criteria, Flint Group achieved an ‘A’ grade in several categories, including En- vironmental Policies, Governance, and Scope 3 Emissions, and an ‘A-’ in Emissions Reductions Initiatives and Low Carbon Products, recognising the progress the company made toward the reduction of our GHG emissions by 34 percent vs its 2019 baseline. For Water Disclosure, the business scored ‘A’ grades in Targets and Water Account- ing, among other areas.

SUSTAINABILITY Korozo Group Publishes Sustainability Report

International flexible packaging manufacturer Korozo Group has published its 2024 Sustainabil- ity Report, which is now available to download. Korozo Group published its Sustainability Re- port to provide transparent, structured and veri- fiable information about how sustainability is in- tegrated into its business strategy, governance model and operational practices. The report pres- ents the Group’s environmental, social and gover- nance (ESG) performance for the 2024 reporting period and reflects Korozo’s long-term value cre- ation approach in line with internationally recog- nized reporting standards. The full Sustainability Report provides detailed data, methodologies and independent assurance statements. Key headlines from the Korozo Group 2024 Sustainability Report include: • The Group achieved a CDP Climate A score, reflecting structured climate governance and transparent disclosure. • The share of recyclable packaging structures within total production increased, and the use of recycled raw materials continued to expand. • Renewable energy sourcing initiatives sup- ported reductions in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emis- sions at selected facilities. • Investment in employee development contin- ued through structured training programmes de- livered via the Korozo Academy. • Korozo’s recyclable and circular-oriented packaging solutions received recognition in inter- national packaging awards. Korozo’s sustainability strategy is structured around three interconnected pillars: People – promoting safe, fair and inclusive workplaces, supporting learning and develop- ment, and respecting human rights across opera- tions and the supply chain. Planet – managing environmental impacts through energy efficiency, emissions manage- ment, responsible resource use and circular econ- omy practices. Packaging – developing recyclable, recy- cled-content and performance-driven packaging solutions aligned with circular economy principles and regulatory requirements such as the EU Pack- aging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
