Essential Duties:
1. Maintains knowledge and supervises compliance with all rules, policies, guidelines, and directives of the District.
2. Under the direction of the Assistant Chief of Operations and in coordination with the Deputy Chief, manage the day-to-day operations of an assigned shift.
3. Consistently promote a professional image of the District during the performance of all duties.
4. Participate in reviewing applicable state and national regulations and standards, including researching, analyzing, and interpreting the standards to ensure District compliance.
5. Development of policies/guidelines necessary to ensure efficient and effective emergency and non-emergency operations of the District.
6. Clearly and concisely communicate, both verbally and in writing, information necessary to successfully conduct all duties and responsibilities.
7. Supervise, train, and coordinate work of assigned staff, including scheduling, delegating work assignments, conducting performance evaluations, imposing coaching, mentoring, and disciplinary actions following District policies, guidelines, member handbook, and directives. 8. Ensure all line personnel are provided with the necessary information, training, supplies, and equipment to deliver quality emergency services. Assign workloads, establish and maintain work schedules, and allocate personnel to ensure the proper allocation/management of assigned resources, thereby facilitating the daily mission of the District.
9. Attend all required meetings and training sessions as mandated by the District.
10. Interact and cooperate positively and professionally with all personnel and customers of the District.
11. Safely, competently, and efficiently operate all required District apparatus, vehicles, and equipment.
12. Perform administrative tasks as necessary, including data entry, filing, report preparation, and record-keeping within the District’s records management systems.
13. Prepare reports and maintain filing systems concerning operational activities conducted by the District.
14. Conduct inspections of District facilities and apparatus as necessary and appropriate to ensure safe work environments and compliance with District policies.
15. Ensure the confidentiality and security of all personnel, patients, and other confidential documents, information, and materials at all times.
