4. Strenuous physical activity under extreme adverse conditions will be required periodically.
5. This position requires standing, running, walking, sitting, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting, squatting, pushing, pulling, crawling, jumping, sliding, climbing, pinching, gripping, digging, spraying, reaching overhead, reaching away from the body, and performing repetitive motions. 6. Will be required to work in all weather conditions, including extreme sub-zero temperatures and extremely warm temperatures. 7. Must possess the ability to lift items more than one hundred (100) pounds occasionally, and up to forty (40) pounds frequently. 8. Work under dangerous, hazardous, and adverse conditions, including but not limited to IDLH areas, weakened structures, slippery and uneven surfaces, proximity to moving mechanical equipment, burning structures, broken glass or other materials, electrical currents, high places, and confined spaces. 9. Work may result in exposure to contaminated environments, including but not limited to hazardous materials, smoke, gases, chemicals, fumes, odors, mists, and dusts, which require the use of personal protective equipment. 10. Work may result in exposure to infectious diseases or illnesses, such as Hepatitis A, B or C, HIV, tuberculosis, small-pox, Covid-19, RSV, or any other known or unknown contagious disease or infections.
11. Work may result in exposure to high noise levels, requiring the wearing of hearing protection.
12. This position requires the successful completion of an annual physical examination provided by the District’s designated medical provider and completion of an annual physical fitness assessment. 13. This position requires the frequent use of sensory activities, including talking, seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling (identifying objects by touch), depth perception, and color vision.
14. This position will involve periods of high physical, mental, and emotional stress.
