d. Ties in team rankings are broken by: a. Removing the team’s lowest score and comparing the new average score. b. Removing the team’s next lowest score and comparing the new average score (on through all scores) . c. If the teams are still tied, the teams will be sorted by random electronic draw. <TM18> The alliance selection process forms 2-team alliances for the elimination matches. The process of choosing the alliances for the elimination matches proceeds as follows: 1. The highest-ranked team at the end of teamwork matches becomes the first alliance captain. 2. The alliance captain invites another team to join their alliance. 3. The invited team either accepts or declines as outlined in <TM20>. 4. The next highest-ranked team becomes the next alliance captain. 5. Alliance captains continue to select their alliances in this order until all alliances are formed for the elimination matches. <TM19> Send a team representative to alliance selection. Each team must send one (1) team representative for alliance selection. If no team representative reports to alliance selection, their team will be ineligible to participate in the alliance selection process. <TM20> Each team may only be invited once to join an alliance. If a team representative declines an alliance captain’s invitation during alliance selection, that team is no longer eligible to be selected by any other alliance captain. However, they are still eligible to play elimination matches as an alliance captain.
<TM21> Number of alliances for elimination matches. The number of alliances is determined by the number of teams at the event.

<TM22> Elimination matches are played sequentially in rounds. Each round of elimination matches is played sequentially, starting with the lowest - ranked alliance. Rankings are recalculated after each round.
