MISSION 2024 ECLIPSE COMPETITION MANUAL

Section 5 Autonomous Flight Skills Mission, continued

<AM14> Autonomous Flight Mission Schedule. Teams complete Autonomous Flight Mission s chedules on a first-come, first served basis. Each team will get the opportunity for 2 five minute sessions.

During this 5 minutes, teams may run their autonomous flight code up to 3 times. All runs will be scored.

This allows for minor adjustments between runs to make adjustments due to field conditions. The time stops at 5 minutes, so if the drone is mid flight when the timer goes off, no additional points will be given.

Teams should review the event agenda and their T eamwork M ission match schedule to determine the best possible time to complete their Autonomous Flight Missions. If the area closes before a team has the time to complete their runs, but it is determined that there was adequate time given, the team will automatically forfeit those unused matches. <AM15> Autonomous fl ight and Piloting Skills M ission rankings. Teams are ranked by combining their highest Autonomous Flight Mission and Piloting Skills Mission scores from the event. Ties in team ranking are broken by: 1. Highest autonomous score 2. 2nd highest autonomous score 3. Highest piloting score 4. 2nd highest piloting score 5. # of keyhole gate loops completed 6. # of arch gate loops completed 7. # of through keyhole gates 8. # of under arch gates 9. If the tie still isn’t broken, the Event Partner may choose to allow teams to have one more deciding match, or both teams may be declared the winner.
