SCTE ® PRESENTS: The Future of Tech

18 MARCH 2026 The INSTITUTION OF Civil Engineers One Great George Street, London SW1

Message from the President The year is flying by and we are delighted to be welcoming a full house to the second event of the year, SCTE® Presents: The Future of Tech. We have an incredible line up of exceptional, accomplished speakers and moderators for this one and we’ll be covering some important topics, often overlooked by more mainstream events dealing with ‘the future of tech’; events that like our heads turned by robot pets, smart toilets and vacuum cleaners that climb stairs. All worthy inventions of course, but critically, what powers them? AI, which we’re covering in the first panel, AI and AI Usage in B2C and B2C, moderated by Ian Nock of Fairmile West. How do we get there? That’ll be covered in our second panel, Technical Transition, moderated by Ben Allwright of Allwright Advisory, and finally, what’s it made of and how do we get rid of it (or use it again)? This will be covered in our final panel on Sustainability, moderated by Anthony Daly of ClimateEQ. The day will, I have no doubt, be fascinating and entertaining in equal measure and you will leave invigorated and informed. Get involved; this is your day too. The most lively part of the day is usually the Open Session - this is your opportunity to debate the speakers, challenge and be challenged, throw ideas around, look at things a little differently. All of you are seasoned, industry professionals with a wealth of experience; it is a privilege to set the scene and watch the conversation develop over the course of the day. That’s how progress gets made and you are a part of it.

Thank you for coming and thank you very much to our sponsors for their support.
