Ben Allwright Founder Allwright Advisory
Ben has 30 years’ experience in the telecommunications, multimedia and IT industries. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Ogi, Wales’s home-grown internet company, which he founded to deliver next-generation full fibre services to underserved homes and businesses. Under his leadership, Ogi secured cornerstone investment from Infracapital and Cardiff Capital Region and became a leading regional provider. Prior to Ogi, Ben was Vice President of Advanced Network Services at Teleste Corporation, where he also established and scaled Flomatik Network Services from 20 to 250 specialists, supporting the UK’s fast-moving communications market. Earlier in his career, he led SeaChange International’s EMEA professional services division, deploying digital and on-demand platforms across national cable and telco operators. Ben combines commercial acumen with a strong engineering background, and has successfully led companies in start-up, growth and established settings. He holds an MBA from Henley Business School and has been recognised with INCA’s Industry Outstanding Contributor award and IoD Wales Start- up Director of the Year in 2024. Ben is currently consulting for Technetix and other industry partners.
Dr Anthony Basham President, SCTE
Anthony Basham is Technical Sales Director at DKT A/S in Denmark, part of the BTV Group. Prior to this he was regional sales director for Northern Europe at Technetix. With over a quarter of a century of broadband experience from all areas of the industry, Anthony has an Electrical Engineering degree and a Master’s degree in project management. He was elected to the Executive Committee in 2017 and holds the office of President for the SCTE as well as Vice Chair of Training, Vice Chair of Standards and Technical, and sits on most committees. He also sits on the SCTE Limited Board of Directors. For BSI, Anthony sits as an expert and a convener on Standards - Work Groups regarding Cable networks for television signals, sound signals and interactive services. Anthony Daly Director, ClimateEQ Having worked primarily in the Entertainment and Luxury Goods Supply Chain for the past 25 years, Anthony has taken all of the knowledge gained from working at Director Level in Global Organisation’s, ( Europe, US, China and UK ) to understand how products get manufactured, printed, packaged and distributed. Added to that, with his Digital and Physical supply chain knowledge, he helps SME’s and large organisations, develop a more environmental product service offering. Covering everything from training and consultancy on their own organisational carbon footprint, to measuring and reducing the carbon on the full end to end supply chain of their products. As a director of ClimateEQ, he is one of an experienced team of industry experts who recognise the importance of education in helping to make significant carbon reductions. The mission being to mobilise and enable the music, entertainment, creative media and sports industries to move towards a low carbon future, by supporting them to make actual carbon reductions through delivery of our industry specific training courses. Ian Nock Founder, Fairmile West Ian Nock is a leading consultant and entrepreneur in the Media & Entertainment industry, specialising in technology strategy, product development and delivery. As Managing Consultant of Fairmile West, he has helped launch over 20 major video entertainment services across Europe since the late 1990s, providing specific expertise to startups, small, medium and large companies. With an eclectic technology background ranging from AI based control research, through large scale networks, to full E2E video and product development, Ian is a key figure in advancing next-generation video, audio and broadband technologies, serving on the Executive Committee of the SCTE: The Society of Broadband Professionals, Chair of the IET Media Technical Network and until recently the Chair of the Ultra HD Forum Interoperability Group. A Fellow of the SCTE and a member of the IET, SMPTE and IEEE BTS, Ian actively promotes sustainability and innovation through his writing, public speaking and industry leadership.
