Dr. Brian Nadler returns to court this month for a session before a judge that may determine or not he will stand trial on a charge of murder. Nadler was charged as part of a police investigation March 2021 into the death of a senior at Hawkesbury & District General Hospital. Nadler is free on bail right now and maintains his innocence in the matter. —file photo
&/#3&'r#3*&'4 L’ORIGNAL JAIL GRANT The Government of Ontario’s Community Building Fund – Operating Stream has given the L’Orignal Old Jail grant money for its 2021-2022 operating year. Delivered through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, $29,300 will be given to the jail to allow employment of a part-time administrator. It will also fund the purchase of a laptop computer to allow the administrator to work remotely. – Christopher Smith RAPPORT DE PANNE D’ÉLECTRICITÉ Le conseil municipal de Hawkesbury veut un rapport de Hawkesbury Hydro sur 2 récentes pannes d’électricité qui a laissé les résidents et les entreprises de plusieurs secteurs de la ville sans électricité pendant une période de deux jours. Le conseil souhaite que le rapport comprenne à la fois une explication de la raison de la panne et les mesures prises par Hawkesbury Hydro pour prévenir un autre incident de ce genre. – Gregg Chamberlain AFFORDABLE HOUSING Hawkesbury council received several detailed documents for review dealing with the municipality’s affordable housing needs.
