W elcome to the S ale Welcome to the Young Red Angus 7th annual Bull Sale! This year’s offering brings back some proven lines like YRA Shoot First, YRA Sig Sauer, YRA Casino Royal as well as new lines of Mushrush Dorado. We are also offering for the first time an opportunity to purchase 2 year old bulls. As always the bulls have been developed on cover crops for peak performance. All bulls were semen tested March 5th and all bulls past their semen test. Transitioning To Selling Two Year Old Bulls Young Red Angus is in the process of transitioning the bull sale to selling all two year old bulls. This is the first year of this process. To make this transition we had to make some adjustments. One, we are offering 4 two-year olds in order have half our bulls for the 2027 sale be two-year olds we decided to keep the entire calf crop of Milk Creek Advocate 0401 and the majority of clean up bulls from the 2025 calf crop out of the sale. This allowed us to offer to you all of the sons out of Shoot First, Sig Sauer, and Mushrush Dorado in the 2026 sale. In the 2027 sale we hope to offer a balance of 1 year olds and two year olds (both virgin and proven in our herd). As we have had over 50 AI and ET calves born in 2026 we will have enough bulls to supply the needs for our costumers with all 2 year olds in the 2028 sale. R etaining S emen : Young Red Angus will retain half semen interest on all bulls. H ow are bulls are raised : We raise our bulls on cover crops with their dams until weaning. Afterwards, we give a starter ration for a few weeks. This year we raised the bulls from the end of October until February 27th on cover crops. They have been on a light ration since February 28th. These bulls are in amazing shape and will be ready for breeding season. F irst B reeding S eason G uarantee : Our bulls are fertility tested and pass a soundness exam before opening day. We guarantee the bull’s fertility for the first breed - ing season. We will also provide a suitable replacement for the bull if an injury or issue keeps the bull from breeding during the first breeding season. Please notify us immediately if a problem occurs, and we will give you are replacement bull or receive full credit minus the salvage value of the bull. Notification before the salvaging of the bull is required. Bulls going to a state that require Trichomoniases test will be tested before delivery. D elivery : We offer free delivery on bulls within 250 miles of Tribune Kansas. Deliveries from 250-500 miles are $300. At 500 miles we will be setting up drop points that work for both seller and buyer. Please contact us before the sale day if you are over 500 miles from Tribune Ks.

(Black Red Carrier) 5933 is a full sibling to one of my favorite bulls from the 2023 calf crop. He was as long and thick as any bull we have ever produced. I had to redo that mating to get a red one. I succeeded in making another one just like his brother. I just didn’t get him red.

A sleep all night calving ease bull that ratioed 115 on marbling and 106 on ribeye. He is in the Top 3% for CED and 1% for BW EPD. His dam 5L Pretty Power 2546 is a 10 year old cow that produced our high selling bull from the 2021 sale.
Mushrush Dorado - Sire of lots 14-17 Dorado was the choice of Santiago Debernardi of Argentina when he went through not only Mushrush’s bulls, but hundreds of red angus bulls in the spring of 2022. He is now being collected for large South American AI projects as well as domestically. If you know anything at all about Argentine selection criteria, bulls need to have tons of breed charac- ter and flawless phenotype. All of our Dorado daughters made the replacement pen cut.

As cattlemen what do we want in a female? We want our replacement heifers to have solid foot structure, amazing udder quality and above all we want them to have a high conception rate. This bull checks all those boxes as his sire MLK Okane was a solid footed bull, his daughters have amazing udders and this bull is in the top 1% of the breed for heifer pregnancy.
I love this bull’s pedigree. Casino Royal on an Admiral Daughter. Not only will this bull produce beautiful females the calves should crush the scales at weaning. This bull was born in April and had an actual weaning weight of 648 ratioing at 107 and continued to grow into an adjusted yearling weight of 1210. He is in the top 15% of the breed for WW, YW, Stay, and CW.

A black red carrier bull that comes from an amazing dam. 311’s first calves were twins. One of them being this bull. Both of them weaned over 600 lbs. This is a calving ease bull that will produce efficient females.
Spring Cove Grant semen was expensive semen when we bought it. We chose to flush it to two of our best black red carrier cows. This bull is in the sale because he is Homozygous black with no red gene. All his calves will be black and will be studs. He is in the top 20% of the breed for Marb, WW, YW, and CW EPDS.
These two bulls will be feature lots in next year’s sale as two-year olds!

Was lot 3 in last year’s sale. I got more calls on this bull than any other bull in the offering before sale day. The day before the sale this bull cut his back leg and we had to remove him from the offering. We decide to bring him back so that anyone who missed their chance last year won’t miss it this year. He had the highest yearling and weaning weight of last year’s bulls.

YRA Buckshot 499M is a very attractive bull out of the Coleman Donna 4266. Coleman Donna 4266’s full sibling sold for $27,000 in 2023 and over $100,000 in 2024. Buckshot 499M is a Shoot First son on Donna 4266. The daughters out of 4266 are very protective of their calves they will keep coyotes at bay and whoever tags calves on there toes. (We used Buckshot 499M as a clean up bull in our own program in the summer of 2025.)
We wrap up the sale with a bull out of Duff Real Deal. While this bull is in the top 19% for CED I’d be hesitant to use him on heifers as he had a 79LBS actual BW off of a heifer and it was one of the larger birth weights I had off heifers that year.
