Notification and Evacuation Outside of the EPZ When necessary, notification and evacuation deemed will take place outside the EPZ in accordance with arrangement with the local authorities. The notification mechanisms will be based on air monitoring and other situations that might arise during the emergency. Evacuation of the area outside the EPZ is coordinated by referencing the licensee’s EPM and the response framework in the local authority’s Municipal Emergency Plan.
Media releases should outline the region that meets the mandatory evacuation requirement.
