4.1 Operations
4.1.1 Lead Regulatory Agency
The Lead Regulatory Agency for MIPL is the Canada Energy Regulator (CER).
DESCRIPTION OF OPERATIONS
MIPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of SaskEnergy Incorporated and operates many pipelines across the province of Saskatchewan. The pipelines are used to transport natural gas within the province, interprovincially and internationally to and out of the United States.
PIPELINE INFORMATION
Pipelines and facilities owned or leased by Many Island Pipe Lines (Canada) Limited under CER jurisdiction, refer to section 4.3 for maps and diagrams of area operations.
MUSTER LOCATION
In the event of an emergency involving any of the MIPL pipelines or facilities, personnel in the immediate vicinity will muster upwind and at a safe distance from the incident.
EMERGENCY ISOLATION
Refer to COMP Document Incident Response - TGL Leak and Linebreak Procedure located in the Unified Management System SharePoint site .
SAFETY EQUIPMENT
All Operations personnel carry cellular phones which would be the primary mode of communication in the event of an emergency. The area is 911 serviced

In the event of a communication failure (loss of cellular or land line phone service), a list of satellite phones is located in Section 1.1.3.
MUTUAL AID
Mutual aid agreements with other distribution and transmission companies are leveraged. The agreements with the industry members, coordinated through the Canadian Gas Association (CGA) provide member companies with access to resources of industry partners as required and available in a time of need.
