INDUSTRY EXPOSURE Swansea University aims to offer all students industry exposure through various ways. Many of our courses have practical elements, including work placement modules, industry visits and guest lectures. Students can also apply for short term placements during the holiday periods. All of our undergraduate courses offer the opportunity to spend a Year in Industry, in the UK or overseas, giving valuable workplace experience as well as a salary that is currently over £15,000 on average. Although securing a placement is the responsibility of the student, we work with a number of organisations who provide a range of placement opportunities. If you are unable to secure a placement by the end of the second year of your studies you will transfer onto the equivalent degree programme.

The variety of modules offered by the University, and its beautiful location convinced me to choose Swansea over any other university. The practical modules and projects gave me a taste of what the corporate world would be like. Because of the variety of modules I opted for during my time in the University, I am able to handle multiple roles at my company right now.
