19 TH ANNUAL BULL SALE

y ou can always choose to be happy and content, or not. i t’s your choice. - KATHLEEN HALL JACKSON

WEBO Angus There are some power bulls in here, they’ll add the pounds to your calves and yearlings, some highly maternal bulls to leave you with extra fancy females and genuine heifer bulls, we are targeting the 1450 to 1650 pay weight for finished cattle that get there in an efficient and timely manner. You are welcome to come to look at the bulls any time. We provide all the data we have to help you make your choices. We’ll have lunch ready Tuesday, April 7. We are grateful and honored that you allow us to have the opportunity to be your source for high-quality Angus bulls. Thank you for taking the time to come. We are so Blessed to absolutely love what we do. Our family’s matriarch, my Mom, passed away in December. At 94, she reminded us how lucky we are, she was so happy with her life when she looked back over the years. She had faced plenty of hardships in her life but lived her life believing “You can always choose to be happy and content, or not. It’s your choice.” Thank you for your interest in our program. On the Angus side, we are continuing to seek out and find herd bulls that will produce feeder calves and yearlings in the Top 40% of the breed for Weaning Weights (WW) and Yearling Weights (YW), while still focusing on replacement females. On the Hereford side, Odessa purchased a Top-of-the-line Donor Hereford cow. Watch for her sons in a couple of years. We continue to view fertility as our very first selection criteria, our cow herd calves in 45 days. We apply intense pressure on feet; bulls must cover the country and need good feet to do so. We have common sense carcass, with additional selection for improving PAP scores. We continue to strive for Balance with maternal traits & maternal index’s as additional score cards, as well as keeping an Eye on the same Value index’s your buyers do. We also use eyeballs and scales! Good Maternal Cows that raise heavy calves and breed early are a big deal to us. All the bulls in the sale have feed test and efficiency data, ADG and feed conversion, as well as EPDs sale day. We have a note from Dr Steve Paisley Director UW-SARCE, explaining how to apply the data. We continue to demand a lot of our cows, they cover all the bases, we are focused on having an efficient cow herd that targets reduced feed consumption of 10 to 15%, have great feet, extra maternal merit, breed back early, live healthy at altitude with decent dispositions. Sincerely, Buttons York & Family
