A lengthy novel, this story is about four college students who are all going through the struggle of finding themselves. As time passes, their biggest challenge is one of their friends who constantly needs help due to a dark childhood. Sam thinks the writing in the book is great and the only downside is the length and that “it’s hard to get into at times.” Beach Reader Rating: 7/10
Alaska, who brings him out of his shell, in a way. Sophia hints that something quite traumatic happens toward the end, but it was so interesting that she had to read it again. She enjoys that there is a lot of mischief in the book and the way the author writes. Beach Reader Rating: 8/10

Sofia’s thriller is a moving story about Devin Jones, a college student who starts working at a carnival in the summer and discovers there is a haunted part of it. The main character gets employed as a maid in a wealthy family’s home, but it doesn’t take long for her to be involved with the secrets and dangers that lie within the household. She explains the main character is very conniving and manipulative, always trying to get her way. Beach Reader Rating: 8/10
Jason explains that the story was slightly weird in the beginning, but now he can’t seem to put it down. It is about a wealthy CEO in California that commits slaughter and videotapes it, afterwards leaving a message that reads “This is where it begins.” Jason enjoys reading a lot of mystery novels and really likes the aspect of not wanting to set them down. PATRICK REILLY True Blue by David Baldacci
Patrick’s book is another mysterious novel. He explained that one character is the police chief in Washington and her sister just got out of jail, who was falsely accused and imprisoned for two years.
